Brandie has been involved in the legal field in various capacities since 1999. She started with the Law Offices of Dean Lloyd, A Professional Law Corporation in Palo Alto, California. There she gained valuable experience in evictions, automotive lemon law, and family law as a legal secretary. She then learned about personal injury law while working as a legal secretary at Cartwright, Fulton & Adams in Santa Cruz, California.
Brandie then spent over 12 years with the Law Offices of John D. Laughton, A Professional Law Corporation, in Monterey, California. Mr. Laughton mentored Brandie on the intricacies of estate planning & tax law, Medi-Cal planning for long term skilled nursing care, trust administration and Probate. Brandie spent her last 2 years with the firm as an associate attorney.
In 2017, Brandie decided it was time for a change and became the Global Supply Chain Contracts and Compliance Manager at Lam Research Corporation. During her time at Lam, Brandie founded Lam's Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. She developed compliance processes & policies for all direct materials suppliers, to comply with the Dodd Frank Act, U.K. Modern Slavery Act, and A.U. Modern Slavery Act, among others. Brandie also managed Lam's direct materials Supplier Diversity program and was a founding member of SEMI's Manufacturing Ownership Diversity Working Group. Brandie authored the Supply Chain section of Lam's Annual CSR Report, 2018-2020. She helped negotiate Lam's supply chain contracts.
In 2021, Brandie decided to leave Lam and joined ERM: Environmental Resources Management as a Senior Supply Chain Sustainability Consultant. She enjoyed over a year and half helping Fortune 500 companies evaluate and develop their supply chain sustainability programs.
Brandie graduated from Henry M. Gunn Senior High School in Palo Alto, California in 2000. Brandie skipped obtaining a bachelor's degree in lieu of real-world experience working in various types of law firms and positions since high school. After 15 years of experience, a marriage and child, Brandie decided to attend Monterey College of Law, in Seaside, California, graduating with her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014. Brandie was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 2014.
Brandie grew up in Santa Cruz, California, moving to Palo Alto, California for high school. She has spent her adult life between Monterey and the Bay Area. Brandie is the proud mother of a transgender teenager, two cats, and a dog. Brandie has been a member of the State Bar of California and the California Lawyers Association since 2014.
Brandie was a member of the SEMI Metrics Commitee, and a founding member of the SEMI Manufacturing Ownership Diversity Working Group (2019-2021). Brandie advised the board of directors of German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California, a California 501(c)3 non-profit organization and acted as interim Secretary (2017).
Brandie was a member of the Monterey County Bar Association, Trusts & Estates Section (2012-2017), a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (2014-2017), a member of the California Young Lawyers Association (2014-2017), and a Member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Barristers Section (2015-2017). Brandie was a member of the National Notary Association (2005-2020). Brandie served as the Executive Vice President of the Monte Vista Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (2014-2015), and then served as the Executive President (2015-2017).
